BookClub is an online platform that allows readers and colleagues to build community and understanding through discussing books they read together. One of BookClub’s tentpole products is long-form video interviews with the authors of select titles for users to access for their book club discussions.

I wrote the script for their interview with Rumaan Alam, which incorporated textual analysis and author background research. I wrote questions with a literary fiction/thriller book audience in mind, and the resulting long-form video interview allowed Rumaan to set up the story in a thrilling way without giving away spoilers. Clips of this video were also used as a promotional tool for the BookClub brand.
